What the site is for
The site publishes property data, guides and calculators for West Bengal for general information. It is not a property listing service, and nothing on it is financial, legal, tax or investment advice.
Using our content and data
- You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use.
- You may quote individual figures, and use the CSV data we publish for a place, if you name Bengal Property Index as the source and link to the page.
- You may not republish whole articles or data tables, or scrape or bulk-download the site, without our written permission.
- The site’s design, theme and code are proprietary and may not be copied or reused.

Accuracy
We check our figures and date every one of them, but we make no warranty that they are complete, current or right for your situation. Prices, government values, stamp duty rates and land rules change, and they vary by exact property. Our methodology explains where the numbers come from.
Calculators
The calculators are provided free and as they are. They apply the published rates and standard conversion factors on the date shown on each tool. They do not replace an official valuation, a land record or professional advice.
Messages
When you send us a correction or a message, you agree that we may use the information to update the site; we will not publish your name or email address without asking.
Links and ads
We link to outside sites and show ads through Google AdSense. We do not control those sites or advertisers and are not responsible for them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Bengal Property Index and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage that results from using, or relying on, the site or its calculators.
